Section 6(a) of the Puerto Rico Occupational Safety and Health Act: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: Seccion 6(a) de la Ley de Seguridad y Salud en el Trabajo de Puerto Rico: El patrono no proveyo empleo y un sitio de empleo libre de riesgos reconocidos que esten causando o que puedan causar muerte o dano fisico a los empleados, por cuanto empleados estaban expuestos a: a. Receive serious injuries due to delay in access to exit. Six employees were working in the Human Resorces Offices, with working area of, 15 feet X 29 feet (435 sq.feet), and two employees, working in room with an area of 10 feet X 12 feet (120 Sq. feet) creating a stacking problem. According to N.F.P.A. 1985: Sec. 27-1.7.1 the minimal occupancy requierement shall be not less than one person per 100 sq. feet. Amoung other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard is the relocation of excess employees. a. Recibir serias lesiones debido a demora hacia las salidas. Seis empleados trabajaban en la Oficina de Recursos Humanos con un area de trabajo de 15 pies x 29 pies (435 pies cuadrados) y dos empleados trabajando en un cuarto con un area de 10 pies x 12 (120 pies cuadrados), creando un problema de hacinamiento. De acuerdo al N.F.P.A. 1985, Sec. 27-1.7.1 el requisito minimo de ocupacion debe ser no mas de una persona por cada 100 pies cuadrados. Entre otros metodos, uno aceptable y posible para corregir este riesgo es la relocalizacion del exceso de personal.

Receive serious musculoskeletal disorder (MSDs) injuries, due to work in a restricted space, two employees were presenting sings and symtoms of MSDAs. At the Human Resources building, in following working space; 1- Area of 42 inches X 32 inches. 2- Area of 40 inches x 36 inches. Among other method one feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard is to provided a largest working spaces a. Recibir serios desordenes musculoesqueletar (MSDs, siglas en Ingles Desorden Musculoesqueletal) serios por trabajar en una espacio restricto de movimiento, dos empleados presentaban signos y sintomas de MSDs. En el edificio de Recursos Humanos en los siguientes espacios de trabajo: 1- Area de 42 inches X 32 inches. 2- Area de 40 inches x 36 inches. Entre otros metodos uno aceptable para corregir este riesgo es proveer un espacio de trabajo mayor.
