Section 6(a) of the Puerto Rico Occupational Safety and Health Act: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: Seccion 6(a) de la Ley de Seguridad y Salud en el Trabajo de Puerto Rico: El patrono no proveyo empleo y un sitio de empleo libre de riesgos reconocidos que esten causando o que puedan causar muerte o dano fisico a los empleados, por cuanto empleados estaban expuestos a: a. Receive injuries due to insufficience in occupancy space that delay emergency access to exits, at (L) shape office workroom, 4 feet width by 15 feet length one side; 8 feet length second side with 68 inches heigth headroom, occupied with office equipment. At the time of the inspection, office operations were performed by employees. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard is to provided 100 sq ft floor area per person; as required in NFPA 1985 Sec.27-1.7.1(or later edition). a. Recibir lesiones debido a insuficiente espacio de ocupacion que dilata acceso a salida de emergencia, en oficina de trabajo en forma de (L), 4 pies ancho por 15 pies largo un lado; 8 pies largo segundo lado, con 68 pulg. altura interior, ocupado con equipo oficina. Al momento de la inspeccioo, empleados realizaban operaciones oficina. Entre otros metodos, un metodo aceptable y posible para corregir este riesgo es proveer 100 pq de area por persona; segun requiere NFPA 1985 Sec. 27-1.7.1 (o version adelantada).
