Section 6(a) of the Puerto Rico Occupational Safety and Health Act: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: Seccion 6(a) de la Ley de Seguridad y Salud en el Trabajo de Puerto Rico: El patrono no proveyo empleo y un sitio de empleo libre de riesgos reconocidos que esten causando o que puedan causar muerte o dano fisico a los empleados, por cuanto empleados estaban expuestos a: a. Receive injuries due to contact with energized power lines, 4160 volts; when two floor building construction was performed. At the time of the inspection, employees were performing forms removal operations 3 feet of distance from energized power lines. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable method to correct this hazard is to deenergized the lines, relocated the lines, or installed protective coverings by notification to electrical system operator; to prevent accidental contact with the lines. a. Recibir lesiones por contacto de lineas energizadas de alta tension, de 4160 volts; cuando se realizaban operaciones de construccion de edificio de dos niveles. Al momento de la inspeccion, los empleados realizaban desmantelamiento de moldes a 3 pies de distancia de lineas energizadas de tendido electrico . Entre otros metodos, un metodo aceptable y posible para corregir este riesgo es desenergizar lineas, reubicar las lineas o instalar cubiertas protectoras mediante notificacion a operador de sistema electrico para prevenir contacto accidental.
