Section 6(a) of the Puerto Rico Occupational Safety and Health Act:  The
employer did not
furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from
recognized hazards that
were causing or likely to cause death or physical harm to employees in
that employees were
exposed to:
Seccion 6(a) de la Ley de Seguridad y Salud en el Trabajo de Puerto Rico:
El patrono no
proveyo empleo y un sitio de empleo libre de riesgos reconocidos que esten
causando o que
puedan causar muerte o dano fisico a los empleados, por cuanto empleados
estaban expuestos
a:
a.  Receive serious injuries in arm at pinch point  due to deactivation of
the limit switch
from access door in machine Trademark Impco, Model B13-R25, Serial
#L943-72. The
pinch point was approximately 55" from the floor. The machine was located
in Injection
Molding area, east area. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable
abatement
method to correct this hazard is to maintain the limit switch in function
all the time.

desactivacion del "Limit
Switch" de la puerta de acceso en maquina marca Impco, Modelo B13-R25,
Serie #L943-
72. El punto de pinchada estaba a 55" del nivel del piso aproximadamente.
La maquina
estaba localizada en el area "Injection Molding", lado este. Entre otros
metodos, un
metodo aceptable y posible de corregir este riesgo es mantener el "Limit
Switch"
funcionando en todo momento.
