Section 6(a) of the Puerto Rico Occupational Safety and Health Act:  The
employer did not
furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from
recognized hazards that
were causing or likely to cause death or physical harm to employees in
that employees were
exposed to:
Seccion 6(a) de la Ley de Seguridad y Salud en el Trabajo de Puerto Rico:
El patrono no
proveyo empleo y un sitio de empleo libre de riesgos reconocidos que esten
causando o que
puedan causar muerte o dano fisico a los empleados, por cuanto empleados
estaban expuestos
a:
a. Receive injuries,fingers fracture or puncture, due to a door fit
closely. A door to take
out the food of the kitchen, 6 feet wide, 7 feet 9 inches high, was
obstructed, fit closely.
Employees need to to push strongly or force in the door. The door did not
have any
handle to hold it.  Among other methods a feasible methods to corret this
hazard is to
fix the door so it can fit correctly.
a. Recibir lesiones, dedos fracturados o pillados, debido a una puerta
atorada o encajada.
La puerta de salida para sacar los alimentos de la cocina, estaba
obstruida, atorada,
encajada. Empleados tenian que empujar fuerte, forzarla.  La puerta no
tiene manecillas
o agarraderas. Entre otros metodos, uno feasible es arreglar la puerta
para que no se
atore.
