Section 6(a) of the Puerto Rico Occupational Safety and Health Act:  The
employer did not
furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from
recognized hazards that
were causing or likely to cause death or physical harm to employees in
that employees were
exposed to:
Seccion 6(a) de la Ley de Seguridad y Salud en el Trabajo de Puerto Rico:
El patrono no
proveyo empleo y un sitio de empleo libre de riesgos reconocidos que esten
causando o que
puedan causar muerte o dano fisico a los empleados, por cuanto empleados
estaban expuestos
a:
a.  Receive serious injuries due to loosening of ceiling parts of the
Industrial Arts class
room. The steel rods were musty and in bad condition. The beams were
fissured. The
teacher was teaching the students and parts of the ceiling (concrete) feld
down over the
teacher. Among other methods one feasible and acceptable abatement method
to
correct
that hazard is safe room to provide the employees with a safe room.
a.  Recibir golpes y heridas serias debido va desprendimientos de pedazos
de techo
(cocreto) en el salan de Artes Industriales. Las varillas de acero estaban
mohosas y en
malas condiciones. Las vigas de cemento estaban agrietadas. El maestro
dando clases se
le caian pedazos de cocreto encima.  Entre otros metodos ,un metodo
aceptable y posible
para corregir este riesgo es proveerle un salon seguro al empleado.
