Section 6(a) of the Puerto Rico Occupational Safety and Health Act: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: Seccion 6(a) de la Ley de Seguridad y Salud en el Trabajo de Puerto Rico: El patrono no proveyo empleo y un sitio de empleo libre de riesgos reconocidos que esten causando o que puedan causar muerte o dano fisico a los empleados, por cuanto empleados estaban expuestos a: a. Receive serious injuries due to fall from a workplatform, in the top of a truck, plate #RP-7870 at 10 feet high (aprox.) from the ground level (40 feet large x30 inch.wide) when employee go from one side to the other while doing his job duties. The employee do not use a personal fall arrest system. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard is use a complete fall arrest system in responsibility with the owner of the facilities. a. Recibir lesiones serias debido a caidas desde una plataforma de trabajo en el tope de un camion de tablilla # RP-7870 a una altura de 10 pies (aprox.) desde el piso ( plataforma de 40 pies largo x 30 plgs.ancho), mientras el empleado va de una parte a otra en la plataforma del camion mientras realiza su trabajo. El empleado no estaba usando un sistema de detencion de caidas. Entre otros metodos, un metodo seguro y confiable para corregir este riesgo es establecer un sistema personal de detencion de caidas completo en colaboracion con el dueno de las facilidades.
