Section 6(a) of the Puerto Rico Occupational Safety and Health Act: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: Seccion 6(a) de la Ley de Seguridad y Salud en el Trabajo de Puerto Rico: El patrono no proveyo empleo y un sitio de empleo libre de riesgos reconocidos que esten causando o que puedan causar muerte o dano fisico a los empleados, por cuanto empleados estaban expuestos a: a. Receives serious finger cut injuries due to that they were not using a pusher plate from Hobart machine band saw, models 5801 and 5700, at 3 feet from the floor level. The machines were located in meat market, west side. Among other methods, one feasible and aceptable abatement method to correct this hazard is provide training to employees where enfatize the use of pusher plate according to recomendation of the manufacturing. a. Recibir serias lesiones de cortaduras de dedos ya que no estaban usando la placa del empujador de las maquina Hobart sierra de banda, modelos 5801 y 5700 a 3 pies del nivel del piso. Las maquinas estaban localizadas en la carniceria, lado oeste. Entre otros metodos, un metodo aceptable y posible de corregir este riesgo es proveer adiestramiento a los empleados donde se enfatize el uso de la placa del empujador segun recomendacion del manufacturero.
