Section 6(a) of the Puerto Rico Occupational Safety and Health Act: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: Seccion 6(a) de la Ley de Seguridad y Salud en el Trabajo de Puerto Rico: El patrono no proveyo empleo y un sitio de empleo libre de riesgos reconocidos que esten causando o que puedan causar muerte o dano fisico a los empleados, por cuanto empleados estaban expuestos a: a. Receive injuries due to access to pathway from slippery earth, bush, slope way, broken stairs. Behind school office, south side. Two or three times a week one employee need to use this pathway to go down and climb to the cistern (30-40 feet aprox.). Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement methods to correct this hazard is the construction of stairs or ladder in the pathway. Hazard: Fall. a. Recibir serias lesiones debido al uso de un camino de tierra resbaladiza, matojos, camino con pendiente, escalera rota. Detras oficina de la escuela, lado sur. Dos o tres veces en semana un empleado tiene que utilizar este camino para bajar y subir hasta la cisterna (30-40 pies aprox.). Entre otros metodos, un metodo aceptable y posible para corregir este riesgo es construir una escalera en este camino de acceso. Riesgo: Caida.
