SCRR 71-112A: Failed to furnish a place of employment which is free of recognized hazards which may cause death or serious physical harm to his employees and comply with this regulation and other occupational safety and health rules and regulations promulgated under Chapter 15 of Title 41, Code of Laws, State of South Carolina, 1976, as amended, as follows: A. Employer knew or should have known that employees were exposed to the hazard of falling from a wooden pallet elevated in excess of 17 feet high on forks o an Ingersoll Rand VR-642B Model forklift located at northeast corner of new building. A useful and feasible means of abatement, among others, is to ensure employees are provided with fall protection by firmly securing work platforms to the forks and/or lifting carriage and having the operator remain at the controls of the forklift while employees are elevated.
