Section 5(a)(1): of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which was free from recognized hazards that which were likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that, employees were exposed to crushing injuries in that, jack stands were not being used while employees were working under cars: a) At 5770 S. Hwy. 85-87, Security, CO: H & H Tire, employees were exposed to injuries in that, employees working under cars were not provided with jack stands. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement methods to correct this hazardous condition would be to use jack stands or keep employee out from under the cars. Abatement Note: Abatement certification is required for this item (see enclosed "Sample Abatement-Certification Letter").
