Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm: S & T Manufacturing did not protect employees from the recognized hazard of being caught in the point of operation of a press brake caused by the inadvertent or accidental actuation of the foot pedal. One feasible and acceptable abatement method to substantially reduce this hazard is to provide a movable guard over the treadle/foot pedal. ***Certification and Documentation of Abatement Required***on
