Section 88.4 - Code of Iowa (2001) 88.4: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which was free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: (a)ADM Corn Processing Cedar Rapids - An employee's leg was amputated and pelvic was crushed while attempting to connect one rail car with another rail car. The communications, or lack of communications, between the employees were not clear and specific. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard is to develop a program that establishes clear and very specific verbiage per requirements of section 220.27-35 of Chapter II Federal Railroad Administration.
