P.L. 91-596 Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of
1970: The employer
did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from
recognized hazards
that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to
employees in that
employees were exposed to the hazard of being stuck by a bulldozer blade:
a.  Timber and land clearing job site located off Kennedy Pond Road in
Register, Georgia.
While unloading a bulldozer from a trailer, the removable trailer
gooseneck that was supporting
the blade of the bulldozer was removed while an employee was working under
the blade, on or
about 11/02/2000.
Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable method to correct this
hazard is to:
1. Transport the bulldozer with its blade lowered, resting on the floor of
the trailer deck.
Note:  For additional assistance, please refer to the product literature
from
the manufacturer of
the bulldozer and the manufacturer of the hydraulically removable
gooseneck trailer. Coordinate
with the manufacturer of the hydraulically removable gooseneck trailer,
other trailer
manufacturers, and the manufacturer of the bulldozer, regarding
recommendations for particular
use applications.ns
