Labor and Employment Article, Section 5-104(a), Annotated Code of Maryland: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees: (a)Date of Violation:11/21/00 Location:1st floor west wall. Condition:An employee working from a stepladder above protruding conduit was exposed to impalement hazard. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard is to provide a cover for all protruding conduit. The proposed penalty for these items has been reduced 50for the efficient and effective abatement of items during the inspection.
