On or about 04/11/02, employees were exposed to chemical burns and
impalement
injuries from the pressurized discharge pipe, containing corrosive
chemicals, placed
adjacent to the roadway and material storage.
Among other methods, feasible means of abatement include, but are not
limited to the
following:
1. The relocation of the pressurized pipe in an area where it would not be
subject to
damage from vehicular traffic or material storage.
2. The installation of barriers around pipe to protect it from damage.
