What this inspection record means

OSHA opens inspections for many reasons — routine scheduling under a national or local emphasis program, an employee complaint or referral, or a follow-up after a reported injury. Opening or conducting an inspection is not itself an allegation or a finding that this employer broke any rule; any findings appear as the citations listed below, and citations can be contested, reduced, or withdrawn.

North Carolina General Statute 95-129(1) of the Occupational Safety
and Health Act of North Carolina: The employer did not furnish
each of his employees conditions of employment and a place of
employment free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely
to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that
employees were exposed to:
1)Employer Edwin Green failed to furnish to each
employee a temporary labor camp free from recognized
hazards in that an electrical light switch in the
bathroom of the temporary labor camp is pulled loose from
the wall with live electrical parts exposed.
Additionally an electrical outlet behind the mobile
homeis lying on the ground such that workers are exposed
to electricity when hanging clothes, cutting grass or
other daily duties in that area. Finally an exterior
electrical outlet on the wood frame house has no
electrical cover plate. The hazard exists that workers
in the temporary labor camp will contact electricity,
resulting in serious physical harm or death to migrant
farm workers living in the temporary labor camp site.
Among others one appropriate and feasible method of
abatement is to reattach the electrical switch to the
wall of bath room, install electrical outlet in backyard
with proper support removing it from direct contact with
the ground and install an electrical cover plate on the
exterior outlet on the wood frame house
