Title 40.1 - 51.1.(a) Code of Virginia: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to hazards of being struck by a falling cell site cabinet on 10/30/00. The cabinet fell after two eyebolts broke while lifting the cabinet into position at a tower site on Quarry Road in Bedford county. One feasible means of abatement among others is to ensure that lifting angles on eye bolts do not exceed 45 degrees as stated by the manufacturer.
