Title 40.1-51.1.(a), Code of Virginia: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that: (a) At the east side of the double doors located in the admin lobby, four rigid plastic conduit stub outs, protruding 12 to 20 above the floor, had not been guarded to eliminate the hazard of impalement. "ONE FEASIBLE AND ACCEPTABLE ABATEMENT METHOD, AMONG OTHERS, TO CORRECT THIS HAZARD IS TO INSTALL PLASTIC REBAR CAPS OR EQUIVALENT PROTECTION ON THE PROTRUDING PLASTIC STUB OUTS.
