Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish to each of his employees employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to being dislodged from a moving truck and struck by vehicular traffic: (a) Left travel lane of I-75 South, 1/2 mile from I-285: An employee was standing on the left driver side step, outside the passenger compartment, of a slow moving vehicle. Hazard of falling and being struck by another vehicle. Among other means, one feasible means of abatement would be to have the jumper (employee) ride within the cab of the vehicle as outlined by the truck manufacturer's manual. ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION AND CERTIFICATION REQUIREDATION
