Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to the hazard of an uncontrolled leak of propane gas and fire hazards: Pump Station Area - On January 10, 2002, the hoses connected from the propane tank to the heaters were placed in front of the chemical toilets in a manner that exposed them to damage. Construction personnel could easily trip over the hoses and damage the hose connections. Thereby, exposing site employees to a fire hazard. AMONG OTHER METHODS, ONE FEASIBLE AND ACCEPTABLE ABATEMENT METHOD TO CORRECT THIS HAZARD IS INSTALL HOSES FOR PROPANE HEATERS IN ACCORDANCE WITH NATIONAL FIRE PROTECTION ASSOCIATION CODE 58, LIQUEFIED PETROLEUM GAS CODE, SECTION 3.2.20.6 REQUIRING THE HOSE TO BE PROTECTED FROM DAMAGE.ED
