A.R.S. 23-403.A.: The employer did not furnish to each of his employees employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to his employees, in that approximately 40 feet of PVC pipe were being used to transport compressed air. Manufacturers and Associations of thermoplastic piping state that, unless specifically designed for such use, thermoplastic piping must not be used to transport compressed air unless it is installed below ground or is encased in shatter resistant materials. a) West of mechanic shop: The employer was using approximately 40 feet of PVC piping for the transportation of compressed air at 100+ psi.
