29 CFR 1910.217(b)(7)(iii): The means of selecting Off,"Inch," Single Stroke, and Continuous on mechanical power press(es) using part revolution clutches was not capable of supervision. On or about February 20, 2001, the wire rope on the 3 ton overhead electric hoist was not being inspected on a monthly basis. A feasible and acceptable method of abatement is to inspect the wire rope on the overhead hoist on a monthly basis as recommended by ANSI B30.16-1973 and the owners manual.
