Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational safety and Health Act of 1970: the employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees: a. Jobsite 60 S. LaGrange Road - On or about May 23, 2001, an employee was working from a JLG Model 450AJ/SN80722563 extensible boom aerial lift approximately 30 feet high and was exposed to injuries from falls due to the lack of fall protection as required by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI A92.5-1992) Standard for Boom Supported Elevated Work Platforms. Among feasible means of abatement would be to comply with the American National Standards Institute, ANSI A92.5-1992 Standard for boom-supported elevating platforms and have employees wear fall arrest equipment anytime that they are in the aerial lift.l
