Section 6(a) of the Puerto Rico Occupational Safety and Health Act:  The
employer did not
furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from
recognized hazards that
were causing or likely to cause death or physical harm to employees in
that employees were
exposed to:

El patrono no
proveyo empleo y un sitio de empleo libre de riesgos reconocidos que esten
causando o que
puedan causar muerte o dano fisico a los empleados, por cuanto empleados
estaban expuestos
a:
At receiving area/ battery charging station - The cart used for carrying
the batteries from the
Powered Industrial Trucks was not in good conditions while being in use by
the employees.  The
following deficiencies were observed:
1. Lack of hydraulic bottle.
2. Rear wheels were missing.
3. The crowbar did no have the handle.
Among others methods, one feasible and acceptable method is to remove or
replace the missing
parts in the cart.
Hazard: Trauma and fractures.
En el area de recibo/ estacion de cargar las baterias - El carro utilizado
para cargar las baterias
de los camiones motorizados industriales no estaban en buenas condiciones
mientras eran
utilizados por los empleados. Las siguientes deficiencias fueron
observadas:
1. Falta de la botella hidraulica.
2. Faltaban las ruedas traseras.
3. La palanca no tenia la manija.
Entre otros metodos, un metodo factible y aceptable es remover o reponer
las piezas en el carro.
Riesgo: Trauma y fracturas.
