Section 6(a) of the Puerto Rico Occupational Safety and Health Act:  The
employer did not
furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from
recognized hazards that
were causing or likely to cause death or physical harm to employees in
that employees were
exposed to:

El patrono no
proveyo empleo y un sitio de empleo libre de riesgos reconocidos que esten
causando o que
puedan causar muerte o dano fisico a los empleados, por cuanto empleados
estaban expuestos
a:
At street area in front of the warehouse, an employee was cleaning the
street area with a blower
machine when a load truck drived on reverse impacted and killed him. The
employees were not
instructed or informed of hazards about the special vehicular transit
precautions necessary to
caution against unsafe practices in their workplace.  A feasible method to
correct
this hazard is
instructing and informing the employees about accidents prevention in
their workplace.
Hazard: Serious and fatals injuries from impact of trucks or heavy
equipment.
En el area de la calle frente al almacen, empleado limpiando el area de la
calle con un "blower
machine" cuando un camion que entraba al area en reversa, lo impacto y lo
mato. Los
empleados no fueron orientados ni informados sobre riesgos acerca de las
precauciones
necesarias en el transito de camiones para prevenir practicas inseguras en
su area de trabajo. Un
metodo factible para corregir este riesgo es informando o instruyendo a
los empleados sobre
prevencion de accidentes en su area de trabajo.
Riesgo: Lesiones serias o fatales por impacto de camiones o equipo pesado.
