Title 40.1-51.1(a), Code of Virginia: The employer did not furnish
employment and a place of employment which were
free from the recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause
death or serious physical harm to employees in
that:
(a)  At this site, (Pittsylvania County Social Services building, 29
North, Chatham, VA), Stanley W. Bowles
Corporation failed to ensure that personal fall protection was being
utilized by the employee working from the platform
being elevated by a fork lift. The employee was exposed to fall hazard
ranging from approximately 9 to 14 feet.
"One feasible and acceptable abatement method, among others, to correct
this hazard is to ensure that employees are
wearing fall protection while working from the elevated platform."
