Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish a place of employment which was free from recognized hazards that were likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that an employee was operating a backhoe closer that 10 feet to energized overhead power lines at the corner of Heather Street and Butternut Lane in Crystal Lake, IL. Among feasible means of abatement would be to comply with the National Fire Protection Association 70E 2000, Section 2-2.5.1. NO CERTIFICATION REQUIRED FOR THIS ITEM.
