Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1910: The employer did not furnish a place of employment which was free of recognized hazards that were likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that an employee was exposed to falling off of a moving vehicle. Route 64 jobsite - An employee was riding on the back of a pick-up truck. Among feasible means of abatement would be to ride in the cab of the truck or to provide a secure platform with guardrails mounted to the vehicle. NO CERTIFICATION REQUIRED ON THIS ITEM.
