Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish a place of employment which was free from recognized hazards that were likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that an employee was standing on the midrail, while straddling the toprail of a scissor lift. 200 North Main Street Jobsite - Employee using scissor lift approximately 17 feet above grade was exposed to fall hazards. Employee was standing on midrail of scissor lift, while straddling the top rail. Among feasible means of abatement would be to comply with American National Standards Institute, ANSI A92.6-1999 Standard for Self-Propelled Elevating Work Platforms. NO CERTIFICATION REQUIRED FOR THIS ITEM
