Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970:  The
employer did not furnish
employmnent and a place of employment which were free from recognized
hazards that were causing or likely
to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees
were exposed to:
(a) Facility, 691 Lincoln Avenue, Bellevue, PA:  On or about May 6, 2002,
the hydraulic hoist in the
second bay of the garage was not functioning properly.  There were
hydraulic leaks and internal air
problems causing the lift to move up on it's own after reaching a certain
height.  Employees were
exposed to being struck by a vehicle due to lift failure.
Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable means to correct this
hazard is to repair the lift in
accordance with the manufacturer's
