Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to multiple injuries from falling when employee used unsecured and unlevel Werner Task Master decorator planks: (a) Sandcastle Water Park, Filter Room #2: On or about 3/20/02, employees were using two Werner Task Master decorator planks that were not secured at both ends or level as required by the manufacturer's labeling on the planks. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard is to ensure that a stable, non-movable run way with proper fall protection is used to access the roof. ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION IS REQUIRED FOR THIS ITEM
