Section 5(A)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish to each of his employees employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or were likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: On or about 1/16/02, at the third floor of the stairway area, the employees ascending and descending the stairway were exposed to unprotected end of the steel cables. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method is to cut the cables that extended from the wall. PLEASE NOTE: DOCUMENTATION AND CERTIFICATION OF ABATEMENT IS REQUIRED FOR THIS VIOLATION.
