North Carolina General Statute 95-129(1) of the Occupational Safety
and Health Act of North Carolina:  The employer did not furnish
each of his employees conditions of employment and a place of
employment free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely
to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that
employees were exposed to:
1)Employer Bobby Ham Produce failed to provide migrant farm
workers with temporary labor camp site free from recognized
hazards in that workers were exposed to grey water not piped
into septic system.
Among other methods one feasible and acceptable method of
abatement is for employer to conduct weekly inspection visits
to insure proper working conditions of the septic system.
2)Employer Bobby Ham Produce failed to provide migrant farm
workers a temporary labor camp site free from recognized electrical
hazards in that workers were exposed to an
open fuse slot in junction box in kitchen of unit #1, and
a electrical outlet without a cover plate in kitchen of
unit #2.
Among other methods one feasible and acceptable method of
abatement is for employer to install a blank spacer in fuse
box of kitchen unit # 1 and install cover plate on electrical
outlet in kitchen of unit # 2.
3)Employer Bobby Ham Produce failed to provide migrant farm
workers with a temporary labor camp site free from recognized
hazards as gas stoves in kitchen did not have handles to
ensure all gas was properly shut off.  The hazard exists that
workers will not be able to completely close valves to gas
stove thus being exposed to gas fumes, possible fire, and or
explosion.
Among other methods one feasible and acceptable method of
abatement is for employer to install handles on all gas stoves
and ensure proper working order through adequate inspection
program.on
