North Carolina General Statute 95-129(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of North Carolina: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: a)facility; laser area - monorail system with CM Lodestar hoist has not been load tested. b)facility; laser area - floor mounted jib crane with Dayton hoist has not been load tested. REFERENCE: ASME B30.11-1998; 11-2.2.2 Load test (a) - New, reinstalled, altered, repaired, and modified equipment should be load tested prior to initial use as determined by a qualified person. NOTE: One acceptable and feasible means of abatement is to have the crane systems load tested.
