Labor and Employment Article, Section 5-104(a): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees: (a)Date of Violation:02/13/02 Location:Pre Press Area Condition:Kodak Positive and Thermal Printing Plate Developer / MX-1710 which contains Potassium Hydroxide was used in a plate making machine and the nearest approved eyewash was located approximately 320' away. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard is to provide an approved eyewash facility in an accessible location requiring no more than 10 seconds to reach it and within a travel distance no greater than 30.s meters (100 feet) from the hazard.
