employees, in that employees were exposed to a fall hazard and/or being
struck-by a Snorkel
Lift, Model ATB-60JD, Boom-Supported Elevating Work Platform that had
mechanical and
safety equipment deficiencies:
(a) Southeast Corner of Building - Employees were exposed to falling from,
being thrown
from, or struck-by a Snorkel Lift, Model ATB-60JD, Boom-Supported
Elevating Work
Platform that had a broken guardrail, defective tires, the hydraulic
control for the boom
was being suspended by the line and electrical wires, and the
engine/control compartment
access doors was held closed with rubber straps as the latches and hinges
were broken
and/or missing.
Among others, one feasible and useful abatement method to correct this
hazard is to:
