floor without safety guardrails, safety belts, fall arrest system or
another fall
protection method.
Location:  Warehouse area of the workplace known as N L Store Inc. of
Mayaguez.
Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to
correct this hazard is placing safety guardrails to the open side floor or
another
fall protection method such as safety belts for employees use or fall
arrest
system.
Riesgos de caidas ocasionando multiples fracturas, contusiones severas,
laceraciones y muerte.
a)Empleados estuvieron trabajando como despachadores de mercancia
diariamente en el mesani de un almacen cerca del borde de un piso abierto a
12'10" de altura sobre el piso sin tener barandas, cinturones de seguridad,
sistema de detencion de caidas o cualquier otro metodo de proteccion contra
caidas.
Localizacion:  Area del almacen del lugar de trabajo conocido como N.L.
Store Inc. de Mayaguez.
Entre otros metodos, un metodo factible y aceptable para corregir este
riesgo
es colocando barandas en el piso abierto o cualquier otro metodo de
proteccion
contra caidas tales como cinturones de seguridad para el uso de los
empleados
o sistema de detencion de caidas."n
