Section 6(a) of the Puerto Rico Occupational Safety and Health Act: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to fire hazard: Seccion 6(a) de la Ley de Seguridad y Salud en el Trabajo de Puerto Rico: El patrono no proveyo empleo y un sitio de empleo libre de riesgos reconocidos que esten causando o que puedan causar muerte o dano fisico a los empleados, por cuanto empleados estaban expuestos a riesgos de fuego: a)At the first floor of both emergency exit stairs of the establishment, the employer stored flammable materials such as: carton boxes, desk, chairs, tiles, plastic boxes, paper (notebooks), and a vaccum cleaner. This is contrary to the specified by the NFPA 101 Life Safety Code of 1985 section 5-2.2.3.4 and the section 1100.11B of the Fire Department Code. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard is: the storage of these materials in other place. a)En el primer piso de ambas salidas de emergencia del establecimiento, el patrono almaceno materiales flamables tales como: cajas de carton, escritorio, silla, tejas, bolsas plasticas, papeles (libretas) y una aspiradora de polvo. Esto es contrario a lo especificado por el NFPA 101 Life Safety Code del 1985 seccion 5-2.2.3.4 y de la seccion 1100.11B del Reglamento de Bomberos. Entre otros metodos, un metodo razonable y aceptable de corregir este riesgo es: el almacenamiento de estos materiales en otro lugar."les
