North Carolina General Statute 95-129(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of North Carolina: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: a) Glenn Bridge Road -- a 5-ton Coffing and a 4-ton P&Hcrane were both on the same monorail which had a 4-ton rating in the shop. b) Glenn Bridge Road -- a 3-ton Budgit and a 2-ton Budgit crane were both on the same monorail which had a 3 ton rating in the shop. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable method to correct this hazard is: Remove or lock out cranes so that the monorail cannot be overloaded.

North Carolina General Statute 95-129(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of North Carolina: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: a) Glenn Bridge Road -- there were 8 jib cranes in the shop which were attached to the vertical beams of the buiding. A professional engineer had not certified that the building structure could support all of the jib cranes lifting their marked capacities at one time. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard is: contract a professional engineer to inspect the installation of the jib cranes and certify that the building structure will support all of the jib cranes fully loaded to their capacities at one time.
