Due to a series of water lines, equipment and the related supply system for use with medicating birds in the Pullet house, this area requires electrical equipment rated for a wet location. gg.In the front upstairs area of Pullet site 2 house 9 at the end of third Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The row/conveyor line, there was a light style switch box with pulled apart and/or broken strain relief where the conduit entered the box. In addition, the conduit was damaged exposing live electrical wires to contact and/or damage. hh.In the front of Pullet site 2 house 10, there was an electrical cabinet/subpanel box and a junction box not rated for a wet location. Due to a series of water lines, equipment and employer did not the related supply system for use with medicating birds in the Pullet house, this area furnish employmnent and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to the hazards of electric shock or electrocution: a.In the Hatchery, conduit entering the junction box for the pump motor on the Basket Washer machine was pulled apart and/or broken. requires electrical equipment rated for a wet location. ii.In the front of Pullet site 2 house 11, there was an electrical cabinet/subpanel box and a junction box not rated for a wet location. Due to a series of water lines, equipment and the related supply system for use with medicating birds in the Pullet house, this area requires electrical equipment rated for a wet location. jj.In the front upstairs area of Pullet site 2 house 10 at the end of the b. In the Hatchery, the strain relief device for conduit entering the last row above the conveyor, there was conduit pulled apart from the connecting device for a junction box. This condition exposes the live electrical wires to contact and/or damage. kk.At Layer site 1 house 1, the conduit providing electrical power for a light switch was damaged, subjecting live electrical wires to contact and/or damage. ll.At the wooden steps for Layer site 4 house 55, there was a dual switch "light style" switch box without a cover. This condition exposes the electrical parts to junction box for the contact conveyor motor on the Separator machine was pulled apart and/or broken. c.In the Hatchery Egg room, a two receptacle outlet box did not have ground fault circuit protection. Due to both process and cleaning operations, this area is wet location rated for electrical equipment. d.In the Conveyor walkway outside Breeder house 3, an extension cord was used and damage. mm.At the wooden steps for Layer site 4 house 55, there were two bundles of multiple wires without any protection from damage or employee contact. Among other methods, one feasible means of abatement would be to provide electrical installations which are in compliance with the National Electrical Code. Abatement certification and documentation are required. to permanently wire a female cord cap from a junction box to provide power for an electrical fan for the conveyor line inside the Breeder house. Extension cords are not rated for this use. e.In the back of Pullet house 1, an extension cord was used to permanently wire a female cord cap from a junction box to provide power for sump pumps. Extension cords are not rated for this use. f.In the back of Pullet house 1, a power supply cord (see instance e.) did not pass through an appropriate opening complete with bushing or other attachment to protect it from damage. The cord in this location was pinched between a cover and the subpanel box housing. g.In the back of Pullet house 1, a power supply cord (see instance e.) used to supply power for sump pumps did not have ground fault protection. h.In the back of Pullet house 1, the strain relief device for conduit entering a conveyor motor junction box was pulled apart and/or broken. i.In the front of Pullet site 4 house 17, the strain relief device for conduit entering the top of an electrical cabinet/subpanel box was pulled apart and/or broken. j.In the front of Pullet site 4 house 17, the electrical cabinet/subpanel box was not rated for a wet location. Due to a series of water lines, equipment and the related supply system for use with medicating birds in the Pullet house, this location requires electrical equipment rated for a wet location. k.In the front of Pullet site 4 house 16, the electrical cabinet/subpanel box was not rated for a wet location. Due to a series of water lines, equipment and the related supply system foruse with medicating birds in the Pullet house, this location requires electrical equipment rated for a wet location.v l.In the feed bin area outside Pullet site 3 house 15, electrical wiring was not marked with the appropriate rating(s). m.In the feed bin area outside Pullet site 3 house 15, electrical wiring was not protected from damage by conduit or other appropriate equipment. n.In the feed bin area outside Pullet site 3 house 15, electrical wiring was not approved for an exterior location with exposure to the elements. o.In the front of Pullet site 3 house 15, the electrical cabinet/subpanel box was not rated for a wet location. Due to a series of water lines, equipment and the related supply system for use with medicating birds in the Pullet house, this location requires electrical equipment rated for a wet location. A faucet on the series of water lines points directly at the electrical cabinet/subpanel box. p.In the front of Pullet site 3 house 13, a wall mounted electrical disconnect/switch box was not rated for a wet location. The box was mounted directly behind water lines on the wall. Water lines run above, below and across the box. q.In the front of Pullet site 3 house 12, a wall mounted electrical disconnect/switch box was not rated for a wet location. The box was mounted directly behind water lines on the wall. r.In the feed bin area outside Pullet site 3 house 13, electrical wiring was not marked with the appropriate rating(s). This condition similarly exists for the feed bin areas for all the Pullet site houses. s.In the feed bin area outside Pullet site 3 house 13, electrical wiring was not protected from damage by conduit or other appropriate equipment. This condition similarly exists for the feed bin areas for all the Pullet site houses. t.In the feed bin area outside Pullet site 3 house 13, electrical wiring was not approved for an exterior location with exposure to the elements. This condition similarly exists for the feed bin areas for all the Pullet site houses. u.In the front of Pullet site 3 house 13, the electrical cabinet/subpanel box had a gap between the cover and the cabinet. Due to this condition, the cover did not completely enclose the internal electrical parts of the cabinet exposing them to contact and damage. v.In the front of Pullet site 3 house 13, the electrical cabinet/subpanel box was not rated for a wet location. Due to a series of water lines, equipment and the related supply system for use with medicating birds in the Pullet house, this location requires electrical equipment rated for a wet location.w.In the front of Pullet site 3 house 12, there was an electrical disconnect box and an electrical cabinet/subpanel box not rated for a wet location. Due to a series of water lines, equipment and the related supply system for use with medicating birds in the Pullet house, this area requires electrical equipment rated for a wet location. x.In the front of the upstairs area for Pullet site 3 house 12, there was a light switch style cover missing three screws leaving a gap between the cover and the electrical box housing. This condition exposes the live electrical parts in the box to contact and damage. The switch box provides power for a conveyor line motor. y.In the front of Pullet site 3 house 14, there was an electrical disconnect box and an electrical cabinet/subpanel box not rated for a wet location. Due to a series of water lines, equipment and the related supply system for use with medicating birds in the Pullet house, this area requires electrical equipment rated for a wet location. z.In the front of Pullet site 3 house 16, there was an electrical disconnect box and an electrical cabinet/subpanel box not rated for a wet location. Due to a series of water lines, equipment and the related supply system for use with medicating birds in the Pullet house, this area requires electrical equipment rated for a wet location. aa.In the front of Pullet site 2 house 6, there was an electrical cabinet/subpanel box and a junction box not rated for a wet location. This condition exposes the live electrical parts in the box to contact and damage.
