North Carolina General Statute 95-129(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of North Carolina: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: a)being caught by rotating bar stock in that loose fitting clothing was allowed to be worn when operating machinery. Among other methods one feasible and acceptable method for abatement is to establish and enforce specific written work rules that prohibits the wearing of loose fitting clothing around machinery.
