Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970. The employer did not furnish to each of his employees employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: (a) Lime Building, #1 and #2 Ash Pits: The hazard of collapsing structures due to the removal of cross bracing and support beams. One feasible and acceptable method of abatement among others is to replace cross bracing and support beams as per original construction. __ Abatement certification or documentation is NOT required for this item. __ Abatement certification is required for this item. X_ Abatement certification and documentation are required for this item. __ Warning tag (or citation copy) required on this equipment before moving.
