drilling with the Mobile 61 HD drilling rig. The double ended bolt snap
connectors were not
properly rated for use as safety retaining devices.
Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to
correct this hazard
would be to secure the air lines to the drilling rig using properly rated
safety chains, wire
ropes, or other types of retaining devices as recommended by the
manufacturers, Mobile
Foremost, Whipchek RFS, Inc., the American Petroleum Institute, the
International
Association of Drilling Contractors, and the Wyoming Occupational Health
and
Safety Rules
and Regulations.
