Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: a)Casino of the Sun, back of House corridor. One employee was observed standing on the midrail of a self propelled mobile elevating work platform. The distance from the floor to the drop ceiling was 10 feet. On or about 8/16/01. Abatement Notes: 1)Train operators to comply with the manufacturer guidelines for operation and ANSI standard A92.6-1990 which states "personnel shall maintain a firm footing on the platform floor while working thereon."
