North Carolina General Statute 95-129(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of North Carolina: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: a)facility; apron area - monorail system with 1/2 hoist has not been load tested. b)facility; apron shop - monorail system with 1 ton dayton hoist has not been load tested. c)facility; apron shop - monorail system with Jet 2 ton hoist has not been load tested. REFERENCE: ANSI B30.11-1998; 11-2.2.2 Load test (a) New, reinstalled, altered, repaired, and modified equipment should be load tested. NOTE: One feasible and acceptable means of abatement is to have the monorail systems load tested.
