Street in Chicago,
Illinois, employees working on a two-point suspended scaffold were exposed
to injuries from
falls due to improper use of outrigger beams. The proper usage of the
scaffold outriggers
requires a 1000 lb counterweight to be used on each outrigger beam with a
36 inch
overhang. This information is provided by the manufacturer in the
manufacturer instructions.
