Title 40.1-51.1(a), Code of Virginia: Flextec, Incorporated, did not
furnish employment and a place of employment which
were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause
death or serious physical harm to employees in
that employees were exposed to: Possible injury resulting from fork truck
accidents. Seatbelts, installed on one Clark
powered industrial truck, were not worn at all times by the operators.
Seatbelts, for another Clark powered industrial
truck designed to accommodate seatbelts, were missing.
Abatement Note: One feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct
this hazard is to require powered industrial
truck operators to wear seatbelts at all times.lts
