Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to THE HAZARD OF BEING STRUCK-BY A FALLING OBJECT : a)On or about 1/17/02: The following below the hook lifting devices had no rated load capacity markings, no initial, frequent and periodic inspection performed, including but not limited to: 1)Line 18, below the hook lifting device had no rated capacity markings and no inspections were performed. 2)Line 24, below the hook lifting device had no rated capacity markings and no inspections were performed. 3)Line 25, below the hook lifting device had no rated capacity markings and no inspections were performed. Among other methods, one feasible method of abatement is to: Conduct frequent and periodic inspections of lifting devices and mark the lifting device with the rated load capacity as per ANSI B30.20-1993
