Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employmnent and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to being struck by a Multi Detector set upon a Welded Steel Truck which had been pulled forcefully over the saddle of a door threshold on or about 6/27/02. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard is to secure the Multi Detector to the Welded Steel Truck, and provide a ramp to ease the truck over the door threshold without having to forcefully push or pull the Welded Steel Truck.
